Want to know why intelligent CITIZENS dont like cops?

Ken Ford, I would hope so. However I have been shown the "other side" by my ex-son-in-law. Told me once that other cops were his ONLY friends, I was not included in his idea of friends. I always did, and still do, think of him as a good cop, misguided, but good.

Misguided and Cop should not fall into the same sentence.....

Friends with only other LEO....that may be a red flag.

I went with the definition from an 1856 law book. Most of these laws pre-date that though.

You know you have to be specific with me....I do write in crayons remember lol?

Alot of this goes along the same lines as shootings you rarely hear of defensive actions with a gun that result measureable positives such as saved lives, and like guns LEO is rarely exposed in a positive way by the liberal news media but you see and hear all about every overly forceful Leo and gun that killed innocents. I have nothing but positive encounters with LEO even when I was the one who they were called on, I know it happens and it is unfortunate that people abuse their power but that is human nature to let power change who you are and to just show the worst in people.

Your average beat cop (I like to call them "cannon fodder" for the politician and lawyer's wars) isn't taught much of anything about the law. They rely on the DAs to do that. The problem is that as more people study the laws more of these guys lose their jobs. That's why I call them cannon fodder. The lawyers use them as a front line of protection. But if you know what you're doing you can **** up the lawyers's lives too.

Not all LEO's are bad guys. However there are many bad apples in the bushel.

Anyone go through that 4th amendment infringing BS of a roadblock on Wade Green Rd last week? Seriously though, if any of you are LEO's, PLEASE send me a PM and explain to me how you guys go about doing roadblocks and not feel that you are removing peoples civil rights??

Are we in war time Iraq? What about traveling across the Gaza strip?? Maybe Nazi Germany?? A roadblock is a checkpoint, no matter how you look at it.
I am tired of going to the grocery store, only to be stopped at a roadblock and treated like a criminal. Walking around my car with a drug dog, running my name to check for warrants, "mind if we search your vehicle", etc. This, happening in a supposed "free state". Even while living in Chicago(awful as all the BS was), I NEVER saw/heard of a single roadblock.

Whats worse, it seemed like a damn training seminar. There were officers from jurisdictions all around the state at the road block. So apparantly its a good idea how to teach new officers to $#!+ on the 4th amendment protected rights of the citizenry.

Its situations like these that make Alaska look more and more appealing.

It's probably not hard to feel that way. Not about you personally. When you figure out that people aren't gonna love you for trying to help, but are gonna completely despise you. Maybe not when they're in a desperate situation, but as soon as its over your the scum between their toes. Other LEO's know what it's like, maybe part of the reason most are a tight knit group. Try to imagine what these guys go through daily, it doesn't end when they leave work.
