Sounds like u went thruogh a traffic enforcement network checkpoint. It's a multi agency thing to pool resources. Don't like it call your mayor, county comm. or congress man.Not all LEO's are bad guys. However there are many bad apples in the bushel.
Anyone go through that 4th amendment infringing BS of a roadblock on Wade Green Rd last week? Seriously though, if any of you are LEO's, PLEASE send me a PM and explain to me how you guys go about doing roadblocks and not feel that you are removing peoples civil rights??
Are we in war time Iraq? What about traveling across the Gaza strip?? Maybe Nazi Germany?? A roadblock is a checkpoint, no matter how you look at it.
I am tired of going to the grocery store, only to be stopped at a roadblock and treated like a criminal. Walking around my car with a drug dog, running my name to check for warrants, "mind if we search your vehicle", etc. This, happening in a supposed "free state". Even while living in Chicago(awful as all the BS was), I NEVER saw/heard of a single roadblock.
Whats worse, it seemed like a damn training seminar. There were officers from jurisdictions all around the state at the road block. So apparantly its a good idea how to teach new officers to $#!+ on the 4th amendment protected rights of the citizenry.
Its situations like these that make Alaska look more and more appealing.
