Want to know why intelligent CITIZENS dont like cops?

Youre one of those cops that wont let a guy walk off without showing id, I can tell. Everyone is guilty in your eyes. But since youre so persistent. Im an AWS/CSWIP certified welder. i play with pieces of steel and iron at high temperaturesto make a living.. But its honest and i no longer have to be obedient to something i do not believe in. Its almost like freedom until i have to deal with men carrying a glock 22 and an ego issue. But ridicule away..... i answered your question, your turn.
How many times have you used force that you would have been embarrassed by to have seen recorded? If you have been a cop long enough, you have done things youre not proud of.
A welder? And you were busting his balls about a job that requires more than a ged or police academy? Don't you get those certifications by correspondence course? Or through the Georgia dept of corrections? That would explain ALOT!!!

All that have responded, please don't for a moment believe that I'm ignorant enough to believe that there are no dirty cops. I am educated, experienced and certified in other fields, and have CHOSEN my profession because I can do it well. I hate a dirty cop probably more than those outside LE. I've been treated like **** by other cops, and use those experiences to better myself and the officers I train. I've been training other cops for almost a decade and pride myself in teaching the fair treatment of all. Respect demands respect. I've used that philosophy since day 1. I've probably let quite a bit of dope, guns, stolen stuff and whatnot walk because I respect the Constitution. If I can't get it the right way, I'll let it walk. The unit I work with are all like minded. We do not "trim a little fat" off the Constitution. We work hard to protect our community, not by giving out tickets, but looking for the pieces that don't fit. Thank you all guys for understanding. To those who don't, please give our profession the same courtesy as any other. You will never see me throwing stones at another profession on here.

NEVER! And my job is an open book. Publicly open.

Oh, and my uncle is a welder. He has been for over 40 years. He also is an alcoholic who drives drunk, will never have a license again in his life, beats women, fights the police when the neighbors call because he is threatening them drunk, and just an overall great contributor to society. So I guess I could pile you into that category huh?

Actually i went to college to get the certifications... in the type society that you so dearly adore... maybe the DOC would allow something like that. Look up average pay difference :) speaks for itself. But I appreciate your concern.

This is funny. Of course the video has been edited to manipulate the mind of the viewer... Each short clip only shows a BRIEF initial interaction between officer and suspect/prisoner or what have you, then the edit happens. Straight from talking to beating. You also have to keep in mind that human emotions account for a majority "other than honorable" ways to of dealing with certain situations. I am not taking sides with anyone in particular but you are a moron if you think all cops just pull someone over or initiate a conversation and then start the moral boosting (beatings).

Your right ghost. I'm sorry omega, there's nothing wrong with being a welder. I'm sure you go home every day feeling you did your best to make your city, state, and country a better, safer, and stronger place to raise your kids. I can only hope that if someone walks into my kids school with a (gasp) ar-15, that there's a certified welder at the ready to jump into action instead of a " guy with a glock 22 and an ego problem".

Or how bout this, I'm at work and a guy is kicking down the door to my house would I want ?

A. GHOST ON THE WAY.
B. OMEGA ON THE WAY

I'd hope ghost gets there and violates the **** out of his rights, but that's the communist in me.

There's good and bad in everyone no matter what your job is. Every year we see the young or even old cop that thinks he's above everyone in the room because he has a badge, we also see in most cases a seasoned officer tell that guy to "shutyour face, dumb a$$."

So like them or hate them, until you have their job and do what they do, day in and day out, I try and cut them some slack. That being said we will not stand for our rights to be stepped on.....good thing I work with cops I guess.

This might be a good time to tell everyone about a class we have on the 30th. It's "How to speak to the LEO if you ever have to protect yourself or property". The instructor is a GSP SWAT instructor and he'll go into traffic stops when you have your gun and how to deal with the LE that was called because you scared some hippies when carrying your gun at the coffee shop.

More info can be found here. http://dtksupply.com/courses/how-to-speak-to-law-enforcement/Come talk to these guys, they're not lepers or demon baby eaters. We'll also post up when we have the next "Meet your local LE" picnic. Kids (and me) love the dogs and SWAT trucks.

My question, just a newbie or someone back from the dead? He sounds familiar. Oh, and Ghost has always struck me as a stand-up guy and, I'm sure, a credit to LEOs everywhere. You, on the other hand, trolling hard brother.

Silly post. There is no government or country without welders or ditch diggers or business owners.

People walking around with G22s and a badge are not above the law and SHOULD be thankful for the guys out there that build the houses and the guns and the roads.

And considering what happened in NY this weekend the guys with the G22s need to get to training and not care so much about the seat belt in my car.
