Want to know why intelligent CITIZENS dont like cops?

im sorry to tell you this, but there shouldn't even be a second of this. 10 rights don't fix a wrong. brign a cop into any situation, you will get more bad than good 9 times out of 10. I don't appreciate my tax dollars being used for this or for them to sit on the side of the road with a radar gun. Cops could be useful. But our government uses them in a non positive way to profit. Were the country of "freedom" with the highest incarceration rate.

Anything gets screwed up at some point when you put humans into the picture. For example your ridiculous thread title and spelling errors. Did you not attend school. You should have used the tax dollars to get a proper education right? . . . .You are suffering from what half the country is suffering from. Know it all syndrome. I would also be willing to bet that you have a criminal record of some sort. Otherwise you might not be hating on all the police officers.

Oh, and my uncle is a welder. He has been for over 40 years. He also is an alcoholic who drives drunk, will never have a license again in his life, beats women, fights the police when the neighbors call because he is threatening them drunk, and just an overall great contributor to society. So I guess I could pile you into that category huh?

Im curious to know what my tax dollars are being wasted for to employ you if you are a self proclaimed "open book". Do ypu sit at a desk all day? And Tell you the truth i rarely have to pick up a gun. I am certified so I can inspect welds on anything before its released. So its more that and teaching. im no better than any man on his worst day. But i would never throw my family under the bus to prove a point just to defend someone simply because we share the same occupation. you and I do not speak the same language tho. So i doubt you could fathom that

Alot of this goes along the same lines as shootings you rarely hear of defensive actions with a gun that result measureable positives such as saved lives, and like guns LEO is rarely exposed in a positive way by the liberal news media but you see and hear all about every overly forceful Leo and gun that killed innocents. I have nothing but positive encounters with LEO even when I was the one who they were called on, I know it happens and it is unfortunate that people abuse their power but that is human nature to let power change who you are and to just show the worst in people.

Ghost, I do have one question. How much do you think that "protection from unions" plays into then bad behavior of some? I'm not bashing LEO or Unions, just a general question.

I will say that I find it funny that some people contantly scream police harassment, when they are driving around with loud exhuast, dark window, loud music......or any thing else that screams LOOK AT ME!!!!!

I honestly don't have a voice in that. There are no unions around my area for LEO's, Fire, etc. I'm sure that the cities involving unions in a police dept, have quite a bit more separation of officer and dept though. That would lead to more of an officer having a crown mentality IMHO. Again, it all has to come down to the moral fortitude of an officer.
