You can't possibly be this silly......you are really proposing that LE time is better spent arresting people for crimes they "might" commit than ones they are actually in the process of committing?

I never said arrest, its preventative measure for the protection of the innocent. why put a cop in a school as a sro? silly? seriously? this is logical.

you don't have to do it. do you understand what preventative measure is? ok, lets let the cop sit down the road from the bar still. so he can possibly get his arrest with no violation of 4th. because I can respect your point. but if duis are such a big problem, (which I believe they are as well as anyone) what are cops doing to prevent them? do you see a calibrated machine at the bar/restaurant so someone can check to see what their b/a level is at? and im not talking about a toy that kids try to get a high score on. something seriously treated as what it is.....and lets say charge a dollar per use to cover costs of it. I know I would use it simply because I know that you can be taken to jail for a dui for blowing anything over 0. its at the officers discretion, and you could get a cop looking to get the most duis that night to fill quota. if it saved one innocent persons life... would it not be worth it?
