Want to know why intelligent CITIZENS dont like cops?

A lot of good LEO's go for this reason, same in the military. I left the army and made triple in the private sector doing the same thing with 1/2 the crap. Give a kid a gun and $30k a year to feed a family and you're lucky we have it as good as it is.
You get what you pay for. Keep that in mind when the topic of raising taxes for the SO comes around in your county. We lobbied for higher pay and more training. Know what won over? County parks and a bike trail. People want to play and complain, but not solve problems. (Not directed at anyone)
I'm blown away that there are people that think taking a DUI off the street is a bad thing, all you have to do is pull up and show your license.

Wow - can't believe this crap is still going on. This reminds me of one of my grandsons arguing with me - you know - leading to a temper tantrum.
To the people saying this I really want to see the videos of LEO stopping their brothers? All this video cameras sure are catching lots of cops abusing people! Then like the kid on the motorcycle in the video. Gets his house raided and charged with felonies for just putting the video out of LEO doing something really stupid? That doesn't seem like the system punishing this type of behavior by LEO. Am I missing something?
Here's the problem with this. It's like the schools, not that they don't have enough money it's where they are spending it. Your average po dunk dept that years ago was a couple of deputies now has 100's, with a SWAT team and MRAV and helicopter, administrators, PIO's blah blah blah. Go back to 25 well paid, well trained guys that really take care of the big crimes.
Although that wouldn't be good for business only for America.

There's plenty of good cops out there. Plenty of bad ones too. No way to tell who is who
They are taught to suspect everyone. And that everyone is guilty of something just haven't been caught yet
You have to act like every cop is mere seconds away from roid rage and can't wait to treat you like Rodney king
Here's some analogys for you
You should treat them like you would an IRS agent. Since thats what most cops are about nowadays. Traffic stops and Moving $$ from your pocket to their depts pocket
Don't do anything to bring attention to yourself and if you do get audited have your paperwork in order. Be polite but don't say "Sir" a million times. Sounds like you're kissing up to em which either makes em wonder why you're afraid of em or strokes their ego. Neither of which you wanna do
Don't let em get the idea that you're scared of them or have anything to hide. But never NEVER give them permission to search your vehicle
They are like dogs. Some of em are smart. Some are not so smart. Some are friendly. Some are not friendly. ALL are dangerous when they are in large groups or packs or if they think you are scared of them or if they feel threatened by you
Cops see civilians as an ATM for their dept and as a way to advance their career All they have to do is catch you doing something illegal Which with all the laws we have now isn't hard to do.
Keep a low profile. You won't win any pissing contest on the side of the road They will just make you the next Rodney king of Jonathan Ayres Or like that kid on his motorcycle
