Want to know why intelligent CITIZENS dont like cops?

I was taught to trust and respect LEOs.

For most of my life, I laughed and thought others claims of police brutality/injustice were irrational.

With the advent of the camera phone and Youtube, I no longer laugh or believe those claims are irrational.

Umm it sounds like you are talking out of both sides of your mouth......In one comment you call for action against the gestapo, the next you say your not looking for a fight?

Sure your method is the same all of us would do, but in the interim most would want to ***** and moan about their current situation....does that give you the right to bash them for their inexperience with dealing with LEO? I am not thanking you for ****.....I was at the same fight, I stood in the rain protesting at the capital, I spend my free time training and providing knowledge to others on survival, evasion, prepping, and other avenues.....so don't lecture me about your "Fight" for my rights.

These forums will go with the mood of the people....why try and force everyone to believe your views? If you don't like the comments or posters on this site then why are you still here? Are there a lot of stupid comments? Sure, but that doesn't mean you can group the majority into that small demographic. For the most part this is a place where people of all ages come for knowledge, material, and resources that would otherwise be unavailable to most.

So instead of trying to provoke someone into action, why don't you start your own thread with ideas on how to fix things instead of bashing someone for their lack of knowledge in a particular subject.

I have also not tried to force any of my views on anyone else. I specifically stated why I commented in this thread and provided examples to backup my claims. When I come to a firearm forum, I want to learn knowledge and info about firearms. This is a site for trading them as well so I like to swap and sell. I do not wish to come to a firearm swapping site to learn about cooking a great pizza, or how to wash my car. I do not wish to have to wade through too many post bashing LEOs as I search for the unicorn S&W 9mm Shield at a reasonable price, close to my location.

I clearly have not tried to provoke anyone into doing anything other than "put up or shut up". Feel you were wronged today by a Law Enforcement Officer, do something other than come to a firearm forum and whine about it. Or you could go to "ihatecops.com" and boohoo together. (That was sarcasm as I do not actually know if such a site exists or not)

Then it is clear that your problem is with the owner of the site, Okuma Steve.

He set up the forums that you are complaining about so that people could talk about non-firearm related issues.

Tell you what since you seem like such a level headed guy: How about you CHOOSE not to come into this part of the forum? There you go; the freedom to make decisions.

Rather what I see is someone pissed at what is going on and unsure how to motivate others to see his beliefs, well bud you are going about it the wrong way.

Thats the great part about this forum, some people generate friendships here and like to share information that may help one another....it doesn't have to be about picking up a weapon at a reasonable price....If that is all you are looking for then why not go to Armslist or Gunbroker? You don't have to click on these threads....and correct me if im wrong but if your trying to avoid the "Nonsense" threads then why are you in Area 51?

However, I think you are misjudging a lot of people on this forum for their supposed "Lack of Courage" to do something about this situation. Again I ask what are you doing for the good fight? What are you doing to benefit this fourm with your supposed wealth of knowledge and informtion? Are you teaching young citizens how to properly handle and control a weapon? Are you teaching people how to store food and be self sufficent? What are you doing exactly other than *****ing on a public interenet thread in AREA 51?

When doing so, it becomes easy to see how more and more threads are non-firearm related on many of my visits. I also do not misjudge anyone. I replied to a specific group of people making specific claims. I argued my side of the argument and provided my reasoning for doing so. Because of that, I am now being labeled in other threads on this forum. I state again, that I am not in a fight so I am currently not doing anything about this specific topic that was being discussed. I do not perceive the acts of a few Law Enforcement Officer to outweigh the good from the rest. If I was wronged by a LEO, I would fight the fight, through legal means, until I felt justified, as I have stated several times. I would not come to an internet forum and ask you guys what I should do so I could drum up sympathy.

I believe you sum up your position when you state "I have been wronged by LEO.." and I sum up my position when I say I have not been wronged by LEO even with interactions with them from an employment standpoint, friends, family, and even when on the "wrong side of the law". I will try to avoid these topics in the future and I guess I should pay closer attention to the individual sections that these threads are posted in going forward.

In closing, I do teach youth about firearm safety, use, and enjoyment of firearms, along with adults at a very basic level as well. I have passed on the knowledge I have acquired through training as well as trial and error here and on other forums, as well as in person to actual live people. I admittedly lack in the area of disaster planning although we do have supplies stored and safe areas to go to in case of emergencies, along with family planning in the event of a disaster. I think that covers all of your questions.

I think you may be right. As I just replied to another forum member, I have failed in my duty to pay close attention to the sub-sections of the forum and their titles. I will have to work harder at paying more attention in the future. Thank you for the pointing out my level headed'ness.

You can look through specific content oriented threads and determine what you want to look at. Hitting the "Whats New" button only brings up what a majority of us are commenting on. Most if not all of us can carry our own when it comes to firearms/acc/gun smithing/etc but we feel the need to "Blow of steam" via threads and stupid postings. That is in no way a direct summarization of this group of individuals.

This is not a place to avoid topics for fear of backlash from other members, if you have a comment that will contribute to the conversation then by all means make it. However, I chimed in this conversation because you were calling for people to do something about their frustrations instead of venting on the internet. We are all in the same boat here, we disagree with a lot of things going on and know we have to make changes. Some of us have made said changes and are more ready than others, yet others have not done anything.....that is not your fight. They will either learn the ways or die from ignorance.

Ok so your contribution to the good fight is teaching the youth about basic firearms safety, your forum tactics and training (Umm Ok....), Yes you have supplies but are you getting others to do the same thing?

The best and most "Do-able" solution we have discussed as a solution to our nation's problems is to become self sufficent again. We have become a country that relies so heavily on outside "Goods" that we have forgotten how to produce our own. Teach people to be self sufficent and the machine starves.....otherwise all your doing is just like the majority of the members on this forum......*****ing and moaning until the fecal matter hits the oscilating device.
