It's less than 400 miles from Memphis to Douglasville. Strait shot across 22, to 20. And the demographics in Douglasville are beginning to resemble those of Memphis. My guess is that indigenous groups in each city have found mutually beneficial opportunities and are working together. This may be conformation bias, but I saw this coming around 2017 or so. Arbor Place mall was a free fire zone almost 20 years ago. A friend mine who still lives out there said he was getting in his car earlier this year...maybe late January?....and rounds started flying.
