Washer doing the nasty.

Ok. I am having trouble with my washer. It is going CHHHHICA ,chhhhica. and repeats. The first CHHHHica is lower tone and the second chhhhica is a higher tone. It is driving my wife crazy. Can anyone tell me what this is and whether it is easy to fix or what?

It is a May Tag if that helps any. Only a couple years old.

Help please.

bearings if not just out of balance? I just did.a bearing kit. 2 hours+. $55 from eBay. keep us posted. glw repair.

I had one a few years ago that was making a similar sound. Turned out being the drum belt had a piece of stringy lint stuck to it that was going between the belt and making the noise/vibration.

I had one that sounded like a jet airplane taking off when it was going into the spin cycle. It did it for several years. When the dryer finally gave up the ghost, the washer wen to a dairy farmer for a barn machine. The washer lasted about another 6 or 8 months.

take the belt off and spin each accessory by hand.
