Make sure the threads are clean and try another brake to see if it fits or send it back and let them send you a new one.
I took it to the gunsmith here in town. The threads were the same but he said the inside diameter of the brake was on the tight side. He started it and slowly ran it up with a special tool while I held the AK in the vise. I wish he had the 14X1.0 tap to run through it but he didn't. I hope the fact that the fit between the barrel and the brake was so tight doesn't affect accuracy or worse. What do you think?
Shouldn't affect accuracy. I would keep some oil on it so it doesn't lock on there.
