Yeah only old retired Wardens that probably knew him are dead Hugh Elrod WL Lovell. Was a Warden way back in day in Towns county before my time He was barber in Hiwasse his name has slipped my mind

My mother's uncle was the one that got in trouble with the Feds in White County. My dad's uncle was the moonshiner in the Athens area. I don't think he ever got caught. Setting all of that aside, I really do have a good family lol

Back in the day, where I grew up, the only folks that looked down on a moonshiner was the feds.

Well he was a Rabbit Sheriff...

I inherited his badge today. Apparently he patrolled the Union / Fannin County area way back before any of us were born.
