Water heater repair needed..... Asap

Bro if it's a water heater leaking get it out asap and replace it. If it's fairly new go check your warranty. If you leave it there with a slight leak for any period of time you are going to have a bigger problem shortly.
I see it day in and day out.
 
Call your Homeowners insurance company first. They may cover the repair to the damage on your floor.

Most insurance companys cover this but if it's a small area of damage on a newly installed floor it may be cheaper to replace a small area of damaged lamintate out of pocket than to file a claim that may end up being less to repair than the deductible would be.

If the damage is huge and we're talking an big floor area being replaced, drywall damage etc, then an insurance claim would definitely help.
With the floor being new, matching the laminate style should not be an issue if he repairs the small area of damage out of pocket.

For me a lot would depend on my deductible vs the scope of damage. It may be 250, 500 or 1000.
