Wax bullets & pistol primers - are they loud?

we use to do shoot outs in the barn and quick draws.They will leave a mark
I used to shoot these when I was a broke college student. They didn't seem to loud if you were outside but I wore plugs when the garage was closed. I was diagnosed with high freq hearing loss my senior year so you may want to not use me as an example.
When making them warming either the wax or the brass helps greatly. I usually warmed the wax so I could grab the brass without gloves but the warm brass option was easier to push through. I almost made a contraption to hold a blocks worth of brass and push the wax on with the shop press.
