We got ‘til 1am on the HPA/SHORT Act🚨

Now it's up to the House to pass it, which, given what the Senate did to it, is possible, but by the thinnest of margins. Then, if I remember correctly, back to the Senate again and then to POTUS's desk.
If the house approves what the senate approved, it shouldn't need to go back. Only if there are changes.

True, but again I also worry about who would be the ones to determine that.

In the end I default to “freedom” isn’t a dependance on Govt to keep us safe. It is the freedom to keep ourselves safe.
What I'm saying is, if you are walking around freely, you should have the right to arms. If you are so unstable, you can't be trusted with arms, then you shouldn't be walking around.
EVERY free person should have full 2A rights.

I agree with this, but I also know our justice system is broken as is our healthcare system. There are a lot of people on the streets that shouldn't be.

President Reagan (basically) closed the psychiatric hospitals with the signing of the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act.

So we are back to the government choosing which animals are more equal than others?
I'm not denying the reality of the PATHETIC and DANGEROUS realities of the mental health situation in this country. I'm simply acknowledging that freedom is dangerous. I'm completely fine with that. No free person should have their Constitutional rights denied. They really aren't free, are they? Or they really aren't "rights" at all.
