We got ‘til 1am on the HPA/SHORT Act🚨

^^^^ No one seems to respect any lawful facts they do not agree with in this political climate....At some point no one will have a good reason respect anyone...... Anarchy prevails and it will be everyman for himself and God for us all. The Constitution was written in 1787 . Time for an update ?
Yeah like it’s promised we will get our way.

As said before, the GOA has documents ready to attempt to remove everything that now has a zero tax from the NFA. My fear is if it drags along and the power swings, which is very likely, the tax will be returned…..but it won’t be $200 anyone. They will adjust for inflation and possibly increase the transfer upon death of owner. I will be moving everything to my trust as quick as I can.
Attempt. How long to wait?

I'm as pessimistic as the next guy, but I think re: the NFA registry, we need to take a wait and see approach. There is a good chance that the reason Clyde voted in favor of the revised bill, was that he was given assurances that once the bill becomes law, an ATF ruling or a court challenge by the Trump administration will do away with the registry.

Court cases have found that a national registry is unlawful. The only reason that the NFA "registry" exists, was to keep records that the taxes required have been paid.

I'm not a fan of the bill, but it has much more to do with fiscal policy than how much 2A we got. Getting anything on the 2A side was just a bit of sugar to help down a bitter pill to begin with.
Meh maybe, but that would take awhile to get though the courts.

Just heard the President say it was the largest spending cuts ever! But along with cuts much bigger increases were also passed.

Actually they strengthened it by removing suppressors from both the NFA and GCA. You’ll be able to buy them like it’s a new stock or foregrip🙏🏼

Keep up the pressure y’all keep calling.
If I read that correctly, it doesn't say anything about walk in / walk out purchasing. Only the $200 fee will be removed but the 4473 will still be required.

Whis is not the best option in any way, but makes them still legal to own in several states where they are illegal to purchase without the proper paperwork (stamp/4473). An infringement none the less.
That's a misconception, the original amendment with the full repeal had wording in it that addressed that issue.

Some states outright ban suppressors, which this wasn't going to help them either way, others only require that you meet all federal requirements, which if the original bill had passed you would satisfy all federal requirements with a 4473, same as any other firearm.

As I understand it just the $200 has been removed. I assume the rest of the stamp process remains.
