Welcome to harbor freight…..

True story I was in Harbor freight and seen the plastic ratchets with a lifetime warranty so I purposely bought a 3/8 ratchet to break it so I tried everything to break it even using a adapter and 3 foot cheater bar to break lug nuts loose on a 1/2 ton 4x4 truck my results were I have had that same ratchet about 15 years and it is now one of my favorites, to top it off it's a 72 tooth ratchet it should have stripped out easily.

On another note I quit buying Craftsman ratchets when I was stripping them out by hand nothing crazy.

My best friend growing up was a mechanic. He worked at a dealership. He had Snap On, Mac and Craftsman. He said unless you want to chase a truck down, Craftsman was the way to go. I bought Craftsman because they were open 7 days a week and local. Of course a great deal when they were on sale

Absolutely ! I still have a good many Craftsman tools in some of my sets.
When I went to using wrenches and sockets everyday though I went to the next level….the SnapOn , Mac and Matco are just a whole level above the craftsman tools. There is a difference. Especially when you use them everyday for 10 hrs a day ! lol.
They are just the pro line of tools . There is no other like them…especially Snap On .
Snap -on KING OF TOOLS!!

I like their tiny socket sets for interior work and any other extremely light work. Mainly because of the color, I know want wrench or socket I need for the task. When it comes to heavy suspension work and breaking stubborn nuts and bolts I grab my more expensive tools. Harbor freight tools have their purpose but it's a limited purpose. I do however like walking through the store and see what little do dads they have for specialty jobs.
As far as air tools, impact wrenches and sockets then go with the good stuff. There is nothing more aggravating than doing a job and then your tool grenades in your hands.

I have also had one of their 8 gallon compressors for 20 years. It handles jobs up to removing lug nuts off wheels and anything lighter than that and it's perfectly fine for that. It just keeps running and running. I had to order a regulator from Chicago Pneumatic. Replaced that just about a year ago and I have never had any other issues out of it.
