I had a professor in college who handed an essay back to me and said "rOmiLaYu, consider your audience. Never use a $15 word when a $5 word will do."

I responded "Maybe I'm considering a more affluent audience."

And while I realize that this is completely unsolicited, let me echo B Bypass 's sentiment. Imagine having kept a house for the past fourteen or so years only to have a group of guys come over and start shouting, insulting the decor, and pissing all over the rug. I think the people who had kept the house tidy would be well within their rights to take umbrage and defend what they had built.

Best I've found to just chill and watch and listen until you've got a few trades under your belt and contributed in a POSITIVE way to a few threads.
