AND IT WAS AWESOME! nitrexman nitrexman

Steve and Neil are really cool dudes that definitely are about that life fo sho. I could tell that the minute I walked into the shop.

After I stopped to pet 4 dogs on my way and got inside the shop, I was immediately surrounded by guns, tools, metal shavings, and grease. This is what a smith shop should look like. They have old school American end mills and lathes, and you can tell the hands-on craftsmanship that goes into their work.

I sat and talked with Steve the whole time he worked on my gun, and we talked about way more stuff than just guns. By the time he was done straightening out the rifle I had brought him, I felt like we genuinely knew each other, and that made me feel comfortable putting my firearms in his care. The gun I needed fixed was no easy or straightforward job by any means, and the man obviously knew exactly what he was doing and talking about.

After Neil got done doing a few(lol) mag dumps behind the shop to check out a rifle, he immediately came inside and started threading a rifle barrel on the lathe. Once again, obvious he knew exactly what he was doing. The confidence in an experienced person's work is evident by the way they execute it. With honest intent. There wasn't any hesitation or struggle in either of their work.

All in all it was a super fun trip and I wanted to hang out longer but we all had things to do, so i took off, hesitantly. I will be going back the first chance I can come up with an excuse.

If you need AK work done, STEVE IS YOUR MAN.

If you need a barrel threaded, NEIL IS YOUR MAN.

I'm quite sure without a doubt that their expertise extends way beyond those two departments, and I intend to find out. But those are the two things I saw them do today and I was impressed.

This is a backyard gunshop, if thats not your thing then I guess I can sort of understand. But these are the types of shops I came up in and these fellas know what they're doing.

If you don't enjoy what you do you cannot do your best.

Approved fo sho!
