checked out welding machine yesterday (Generator) checked oil, warmed her up, topped off gas went out to fill gas cans etc... let snow er.. freeze over

I have a gen too. Funny, I've never needed it for the house since I bought it. But I'm good with that. We're in a new to us house with overhead power lines. The old home had underground power. I need to get the gas logs and older gas heaters going. Just in case....As long we stay warm and dry, we're good. The old home had gas cooking. The new to us, electric. We both grew up with these conditions. We were also without power 7-10 days. Only 16hrs during the spring at the old house. It was due to a tornado
