What’s the “Glock 19” of hunting ammo?

Dang this is the good stuff! In 308 it's the best stuff I've shot. However the G19 of hunting ammo would be the cheap power shok from walmart
I’m say there’s a difference in hunting ammo vs paper always worth the best you can offord.you should be able to zero and get your limit in a box.

Most people don't shoot 5 rounds of hunting ammo a year. About 2-3 to check zero and 2 more if you are lucky in the field. I still have about 100 rounds of hunting ammo that should last me almost a lifetime in real world conditions.

I typically prefer heavier soft points for deer hunting, like 180 grain in 308. My rifle didn't group the last box I bought very well though, so I think I have 180 gr bonded bullets currently. Doubt I'll even break out the 308 this season though.

I’ve been on the same box of twenty for at least 3 years. I also alternate and use other calibers though, but those are mostly hand load only calibers. I’m pretty excited about a delivery of reloading bullets that are being dropped off today that I’m going to use for my .277 Wolverine. I’ll probably try hunting with it in the next week or so.

Yep. I bought several boxes back in the 90s when a Kmart was closing it's doors. I bought them out at $7 a box for Winchester Power Points. That's what I was using and still like them today. I have 150gr for open plains and 180s for brush hunting. Works well in a fixed action. Autos, stay with the 150s
