I’m looking at a 1980’s model REM 1100 in 28 gauge with a 28” bbl and fixed modified choke. I’ve never owned a 28 gauge and it feels like a sweet handling shotty. I’d shoot skeet and the occasional quail hunt with it. I’m familiar with the 12 and 20 ga versions of this era 1100 but was wondering if there are any concerns with the 28 ga models? I don’t see a lot of 28 ga shells on shelves and the few I do see, seemed a little expensive. Any ideas on what a shooter grade 1100 in nice shape should cost these days? Just the gun, no box etc.
