What do you think the real shtf will be.

I expect more localized and minor SHTF. I have seen it myself. There is a family down the road squatting in a mobile home after being evicted. They have no power, probably no running water, no blinds, no furniture and hide their car in the edge of the woods. I know families who are out of work and desperate to make ends meet with no hope for a job on the horizon. I have talked with people who have had their time cut back at work and they have survived on credit cards that carry several tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt and just one paycheck away from being on the streets. One family I know owes to credit cards $60k and they only bring home $50k a year! Last year I had to take in my sister and her kids because she had no where to go and she stayed with us for 6 months.

I think it will a combination of several things. The economy will probably be the nucleus. The thing is, the regime in DC is really priming the pump and actively dividing people into camps. IE: Brown vs White, Black vs White, Rich vs Poor, Have vs Have not...

Well, well.... I've been on the road working on this topic for the last couple of weeks and just saw that the "survival" idea made it. Now this is cool. I work for a company that is closely tied to FEMA, HomeLand, DOD, and all of the State EMA's so I guess I've got a little inside information of what our Uncle is getting ready for.
First off there will not be a second civil war because there was never a first civil war. That's just what the United States called it. In fact the United States won a war with the Confederate States and we all know that the winner writes the history books.
Please look up Civil War and see the definition before you argue this point.
There could be a civil war after anarchy. The first thing we as citizens should do is take a look a history. There are quite a few governments that have gone down this path before us. What has to happen to a free nation before a group of people can take over a government (oligarchy)?
The education system has to be corrupted and teach that everyone, no matter what the work ethic should have the same and never want for food, housing, ect...
The banking system has to be ran by the powers that want to take over.
The transportation system has to be controlled by the government, travel has to be monitored.
People have to be convinced that everything is for the best.
Health care has to be controlled by the government.
There has to be a total collapse of currency (anarchy).
These rules have been followed by many dictators over the history of the world and many are still in power now.
I know for a fact (I sell to them) that our government is getting ready for "civil unrest" on a big scale. There are FEMA "relief" (walked through them) storage facilities all over this country with military style supplies not just food, water, blankets, and cots.
I know that before any relief is given out in times of an "event", as FEMA calls it now, there is an SOP in place that calls for a "protective" unit to gain control if needed. These are private companies under contract (again, more of my customers) that not only have complete relief supplies but also have large security forces. These companies are conducting "urban pacification" training right now at our military posts and abroad.
I do have to say that a little over a year ago I would have been the first to tell ME that I was crazy if I heard myself talking about the things that I have seen or the training classes from FEMA that I've been to in the past year. So don't think I have a Tin hat, I got one for everyday. I figure if my Uncle is getting ready I should think about it.
This should get us started for now.

Sounds like the end times to me..........financial doom is imminent for this country the way our current administration is spending money. I am not sure about a civil war in the traditional sense because the majority Americans feel the same as we do but i can see a anarchy state or Marshall law being declared if something inst done about illegal immigration, or if the current administration doesn't start listening to the voice of the people.
