What does the death rattle of an auto company sound like?

Ah. Any curmudgeons/dinosaurs on here remember the ill-fated 1958 Ford Edsel ? I have the scale model version in the light green/white color. Thanks.
there were 2 in our small town, both driven by retired gents who came to our house to play cards with my dad, so at times they were both in our driveway.

A drinking acquaintance told me after Ford bought Jag and Volvo that...

"Ford made Jags reliable and Volvos good looking."

And at the time he was dead right. I had a Volvo S40 T5 and it was a good looking little sports car. And the Jags that came out under Ford actually would run for a few thousand miles without having to find a mechanic.

I'm sure this whole 'all-electric Jag' thing will go away once Tata realizes that the EV mandate is DOA in their largest markets.

If you liked driving a Taurus

Sad to see this from the company that created the most beautiful car in automotive history. My dad has a series I E type with the 3.8 straight 6 and the Moss racing gearbox. Best car I have ever driven hands down. Driving an E-Type is a spiritual experience.
