What gun are you going to buy next?

I am probably going to pick up a Ruger American Rifle in 308 for the boy next.
Anybody actually fired one of those?
Haven't checked lately, but they were in the low/mid $300's before all this.

Smooth action, light weight, free-float barrel, and an adjustable trigger. Love mine. Always been a Ruger fan and this is my first centerfire rifle from them.

To get back on topic, next on my list is an FEG Hi-Power knockoff.

I helped a coworker sight in his new Ruger American in .30-06. For a three lug bolt, the action was very smooth and it grouped well. We should try some more bullet weights, but it was easily shooting 1 MOA using factory Remington ammo. If I didn't already have a good bolt gun, I'd have one of these in a heart beat.
