I loaded the lawnmower's bag several times on Saturday.. 200 - Rounds of Cast 300HAM`R yesterday morning.. I feel like I'm walking backwards on all of that development. The damn chambers are cut so tight that expanding for the gas checked cast bullet using a NOE Expander in a Lee Universal and sizing to .310/.3105, using a opened up Lee .309 push through sizer, some of the case necks just end up too fat to chamber! This is a recent development and I'm beginning to think I started to open them up less and less to the point of almost shaving lead to improve neck tension. In hopes of tightening up groups, but I think its causing the necks to squish and bulge out due to more forceful seating. More work to to do with all of that... I also got to try out a new BOG Deathgrip shooting Tripod I just got, Midway has had them on Clarence. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1020678542 I put one of those ManFroto Grip Ballheads from KEH Camera in Smyrna, GA via Fleabay $94 shipped .. All it took was $4 and a trip to Homedepot for some hardware to mount the head to the tripod and saddle to the head. $230 total for something I've always wanted, I've seen some outrageous asking prices for pods and heads. I'm pretty darned happy with all of it.
I'm not going though the trouble of hosting a video or .gif.. but it works great for precision, and because a buddy asked, did a few mag dumps as well
It's been a few weeks since I've made it down to the club as I can shoot a lot closer to home.. But I ran out of .223/5.56 to process, or at least LC, FC, WIN, and Frontier. For the going price of ammo you'd think my club was full of millionaires
I was only looking to peck rifle, but you know the saying "while you're down there" Dried and sorted, threw it on a scale, it's close to 2,100 pieces of .5.56. 15 - 450BM (another one on the short list)
The crazy thing is I just got this in the mail Saturday.. 1,500+ .308 & 3,000+ 30-06. I needed some to load for a friend and the price was just too good to pass up on the extras. I just seen 2 - sellers asking between 40-50¢ a piece of Unprocessed 30-06, yikes!
I now have lots to keep me busy and I'll be sure to share some that's actually loaded next time
