I started reloading a little over two years ago because I could find .38 Special in stock during the pandemic. A good friend who has been reloading for over 50 years told me to come over and he would show me how. Under his tutelage I loaded my first 100 rounds that afternoon. At the time, I had no idea what it would lead to. I now load .38/.357, .40, 10mm, 9mm, .45 acp, .45 Colt, .32 short, .32 S&W Long, .223, and .350 Legend. Most of it is my prepping brass at the coffee table with a Lee Hand Press while my girlfriend and I watch TV after dinner, then seat projectiles on my friend's Rockchucker on Saturday afternoons.

He and I loaded 450 .357 Mag, 100 100mm, and 200 .40 S&W last Saturday afternoon and started taking about how many rounds we've loaded in the last two years. Conservatively, we average 600-700 rounds on Saturday afternoon, sometimes we'll do 900-1000. We normally load about three Saturdays a month, although we have loaded for five and six Saturdays in a row at times. That's 1800 rounds a month (on the low end) for two years is over 43,000 rounds that I've loaded.

We normally split what we load 50/50, except for the .32 that we load for my father and calibers that only one of us shoot.

This has become a great hobby in itself.
