I talked to a Remington rep. this afternoon. If the model 700 has a wide trigger with ridges it is ok. If the rifle has a smooth, narrow trigger, it is being recalled. I told him I also had a model 7 with a wide, ridged trigger and he wanted to check the serial no. and it was ok. I am having to send back a 1971 ADL that I had replaced the trigger on 3 years ago (one that would fire occasionally on it's own when the safety was off). They have a help desk set up, but I didn't keep the number.
