A friend has an engine lying in his shop,that had been in a street rod of some kind.We can`t identify it.I tried online,to no avail.It is a 4 cylinder with two covers on top(valve covers,probably).Carb is on the left side,and exhaust headers are on the RIGHT(take note).Does anybody know what engine this is?The engine was removed,before my friend got it,and replaced with a V8.It`s supposed to be a good engine.Maybe a sprint or midget engine?

A picture is worth a thousand words! Part number of some sort would be a good start.
Didn`t have a camera when I was in there last week.Will do this,though.I carry the cheapest cell phone money can buy,no camera.Probably didn`t even have it with me.
get the engine code off the block and i can tell you exactly what it came off.
