What is your .45 personal defense round preference?

Normally it's Cor-Bon 185gr DPX for me.

Speer Gold Dot but I'm thinking of switching to Hornady XTP since I have a couple boxes of projectiles I need to load up.

Ive been carrying Liberty Civil Defense. Its quite different than a standard 45 defensive round, but its been accurate and reliable out of my g21. It also has less recoil and the mags are significantly lighter.

I like the Idea of less recoil and weight but have heard these bullets lack the fbi standard penetration...?

possibly, I dont know. The videos ive seen of them hitting watermelons and stuff is pretty impressive. So while they may not penetrate though a person, they will create quite a wound channel at 1900fps

I load gold dots and I pray I never use them but if I have to I want something that works.

Yeah, I wanna look Into it more. I held a full mag of that stuff and it was so much lighter. But I have heard/read people say its a "gimmick round" not Ideal for self defense. I like the concept though...
