I have several "types" of Garand and M1A and M14 stocks, but number 3 in these photos fits none of those rifles. It has only 1 mark at the heel. No cut-out for selector switch, the bolt release relief cut is much narrower than on an M14 but about the same as an M1A stock. The barrel channel appears to be a different profile too. All other dimensions are nearly the same. The relief cut for the op rod is also not as open as an M1A stock. It will not allow an M1A barreled action to fit. #1 is from an early 5 line M1A (w/bedded action), #2 is a new old stock M14 stock, #3 is the mystery stock.

Possibly?

The M15 Squad Automatic Weapon was a modified M14 developed as a replacement for the .30-06 M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle for use as a squad automatic weapon. It added a heavier barrel and stock, two pistol grips (one fixed, one folding) a hinged buttplate, a selector switch for fully automatic fire, and a bipod. The sling was from the BAR. Like the M14, it was chambered for 7.62×51mm NATO.

Wouldn't it have a similar set of relief cuts for the selector components that exist in an M14 stock (pictured as #'s 1 & 2).

I'm just offering possible options but honestly I really don't know.
Didn't mean to appear snippy (well, snippier than normal), I had to look the M15 up. I'd heard about them years ago but since they weren't issued I wasn't all that familiar with them. They do have a selector switch cutout on the right rear of the stock though, as suspected.
