Well, dang. I thought I had some Grendel SST’s. Will be taking My 700 youth in full size stock 7mm-08 and Ruger Stainless 358 for my first rifle outing of the year.

This weekend I have been carrying my Ruger Precision .308 with a Nikon Prostaff 5 XR 3.5-14x50. It is new to me since last season. This time last year they clear cut some of the timber land our club is on, so there is opportunity for some long shooting.
Later in the season I will switch it up and carry that Carbine length Remington 7400 30-06. It is the most special gun in the world to me. I have taken 4 deer with it, and it means a lot to me every time. I am the 3 generation to kill deer with it...including my dad, who I hunt with, and his dad who died over 20 years ago.
