What to expect to see at the Eastman's gunshow this weekend

Went to the KR show in Marietta today. Less than 100 people including the vendors!!! Was kind of nice to browse without nut to butt rubbing the whole time. Scored a set of 35mm steel IOR rings for the Lapua for under $70.00 dang things are $130.00 new. Picked up some 8mm mauser rounds for my Son in law and a speed loader for the revolver. prices were still high ammo was insane, cept the 8mm $8.95 for 20. I bet a few more shows with turn out like this and the prices will drop or these guys will go bust.

I went this morning and got there at 10AM when the doors opened and there was a line. But once inside it had more room or less vendors (leaning towards the latter) than Marietta show. But regardless I found lots of guns for lots of dollars. Went with a couple of items in mind and stopped by the first tabel in or last one out depending on which way you went. He had tons of Glock's. AND they had them all marked down $30. So what a bargain, right? I looked at the tags they had and they were $685, so no WONDER they were $30 off. I just said out loud they out to be $130 off and walked away/.
I was looking for a G19 at a reasonable price. I stopped by the Rifleman's table. Great guys out of Macon and they had a G20 10mm (which I did not need) but it was $499 which I thought was a fair price and he told me I could have it for $470 I had to. Well didn't have to but it was one of those good deals if you don't take it you'll regret, know what I mean? So the point of the post was there are a few honest vendors out there but the majority of the ones at that gun show were proud of their stuff for sure. About $100 premium per gun. I feel like I got a good deal, you agree?

Never been in their store, but might go now. Howard's and firearms trader have all lost my business and respect.

Sounds like a good deal for a g20 though

I looked around at their other stuff and it was all well-priced as well. I asked about supply and he said they could get all they wanted and were priced at the pre-Newtown pricing, so if you want one of those evil weapons I think that might be a good place to shop. Real nice folks to deal with.

The other reason i am glad that I got my pistol was my regular 10mm is a Delta Elite and there have been some issues with frame cracking which I don't want. I think I'm just going to put mine in the safe and look at it from time to time.

Mark at the rifleman is good people. He has ended up with way more of my $$ than I want to think about, but he has always been fair, even on trades and has upgraded my handgun accumulation considerable. Class 3 dealer too. Some AR prices at the show were down, but except for Ga Arms, the ammo prices and most gun price4s were ridiculous. Did not find much of anything I could not live without, but came close on a nice Garand that had been reworked with a .308 barrel. No luck on my Remmy R 15 though, so I took it home. Guess the price, maker or caliber is not right.

I went as I nothing better to do, in pretty quick at opening. Much fewer vendors then normal, sign of the times or diluted with the Cobb show? Got to laugh at some of the prices, saw a 420 round Federal 5.56 can, green tip marked down from $650 to $500 FIRM!!! Not even on the ODT would you see that---I hope. Most ammo was real high but, of course, GA Arms had ammo at their normal good prices, and the table was not mobbed, easy to buy from today. I went because I needed items, not firearms--BUS sights, bipod, froglube, etc. Saw some Mossbert 715Ts for $525!!!!! I think my loud laughs bothered some of the vendors, especially at the $75.00 BX-25 and the $150 BX-25 X2 mags. I have not bought .22 in a while as I have plenty but was astonished at the prices of the 555 packs and such, $95.00!! I did see one of the Ely 500 round bricks for $70, aren't those the ones CTD has for $150? This trip to the gun show today made me appreciate the LGS like CG&P, Big Wood Goods, Hi Caliber, etc.
