Sounds like some of my Cowboy sixes where the front sight had plenty of room to file down but yours didn't.

Kel-Tec Sub 2K Gen 2 folding stick gun. Great concept but even with all of the Tacticool accessories installed, I did not like bruising my cheek bone every time I fired it. The new Ruger PC9 is a much better and more durable platform.
