they called the school sro, fortunately they only take 2 classes together and will be split. his mom wrote to us saying how sorry she was and blah blah blah. so nothing. just a police report, kids will be separated and an apology. everything was recorded as suggested.

It sounds bizarre, but it almost seems that because kids don’t really fight these days, that in not knowing how to, they’ve become more violent. Instead of throwing little kid punches at each others heads, some little worked up kid will pick up something and try and bust it over the other unaware kids head. Much more dangerous.
And **** knows what’s going on in the digitalized brains of some of these kids these days.

Spent 5 days in jury duty last week over 2 verbal death threats. It wasn’t taken lightly. I’d venture to guess that written would be a slam dunk if you pressed charges.
Glad you got it taken care of and hopefully that will be the end of it. You did the right thing and maybe the kid and his parents will pay closer attention to his activities and behavior.

Maybe you can? I honestly don’t know. But the 71 YO in our trial was found guilty and faced 5-7 per each (2) counts if I’m not mistaken.
I would keep your kid off video games. The **** said in call of duty lobbies is way more insane.
Also, I have sons, and I would just tell them to talk **** back. It sounds like that kid just has lame comebacks. That’s just me though.

Defendant was sentenced today to 1 year in prison for the death threat, 5 years probation for the 4 misdemeanors.
