This is a serious question, curious what and why.

Seems to me, not matter what happens all of the prepping ODT or others are doing is going to be futile.

Because I want to live as long as possible and plan on fighting like hell to do so instead of just giving up. Simple as I can make it.

Its hard for me to grasp that being prepared for an emergancy is futile. Why do people buy smoke detectors? In case of a fire. Sure you may live your whole life without having your house burn down but it can still happen.

The human race would have died out a long time ago if everytime there was a natural disaster or huge upheaval in our set society we just threw up our hands and said if I can't live like I was I don't want to live.
