Whats the worst physical pain you've ever felt?

Broke my collar bone once being thrown over the side of a foam pit never went to the doc for it nothing they can do for a collar bone anyway. One thing thats really stuck in my head though is when i had a q tip stuck down my pee hole, twisted, then yanked out like she was trying to start a freaking lawn mower. All for an std screen. Brutal

They used to take a wire loop and heat it red hot on a burner to sterilize it, wait about 15 seconds for it to cool. Since it was smaller, and smooth, it probably hurt less.

Supposedly, they had to get live cells for the culture, I think it was just a tradition thing.

^^^^ I think it was just sadistic punishment so you'd think twice about getting it again.

I know a lady who's had kidney stones and gave birth. She says BY FAR the kidney stones were way way more painful than having a kid.

I'd have to say the most pain I've ever had was when my appendix ruptured and the stupid army doc didn't even do a blood test on me and told me it was a muscle strain and to go home. 8 hours of progressively worse torture like pain later I had gangrene and was septic. Oh and couldn't stop vomiting which just made the horrible pain worse. No sleep obviously. Finally got to emergency room next morning and a real doc took one look at my blood tests and called for a medivac flight. Unfortunately weather was bad so aircraft were grounded so had to take a 2hr ambulance ride to the hospital. Pain was so bad I offered to drive the bambulance so we could get there faster! I was real close to asking for a knife so I could cut myself open and yank all the bad stuff out of me. Wound up spending 21 days in the hospital before I was ok enough to release.

I did the same as you with breaking my collar bone and and not seeking care for it, I wish I had. I broke the same one a few years before and there was not much they did for it other than prescribe a sling to wear. The second time I knew it was broke so I skipped the hospital and just bought the sling. That was in 2007.

Fast forward to a couple of months ago I had x rays taken because it has been giving me some issues and stayed sore for days at a time after lifting heavy things, chopping wood, ect.

I found out the break was more severe than the kind "they can't do much for." Now I need to get the funds and insurance all sorted out so I can get the surgery to have it repaired after it being broke like this since 2007 and dealing with it.

It was not all that painful I guess, my worst would probably be when I first had my compression fracture in my back years ago. I could hardly breathe or walk after that for a short time.

As I remember, the initial test was to push in on the site. If it hurt more when you let go, it was the appendix. Rebound pain if I remember right. If you had been in the Navy on a small ship at sea in the good old days the Independent Duty Corpsman would have relieved you of the problem. The nuts and bolts of the procedure were on the HM2 promotion test. That's the difference in a corpsman and a medic. Many more opportunities due to isolated duty. Plus, Corpsmen have more attitude.

That would be the smart thing to do. Especially if you're 100% sure you know why you're pissing fire.
Different bugs, different bug traps.

Before AIDS hit the scene, we didn't glove up for everything. I handled all the skin problems in the dispensary at Camp Kinser in Okinawa back in 85. A coworker came in with Shingles. I did a culture to make sure, and sent him to the barracks. Checked up on him for the next couple weeks and it ran through its cycle. A week or so after it had healed, the blisters came back. I'd never heard of it returning, especially in a 30 year old. I called in the doctor and he got serious real fast. We loaded him in an ambulance and personally took him to Camp Kuwae (the Navy hospital). He was HIV positive. His boyfriend/roommate hung himself in the barracks if I remember right. Never did an exam without gloves after that.

I was hurting so bad I'd have let anybody with a swiss army knife cut me open and get that stuff out of me.
