Which is why Feder. agencies & ammo mfrs. spend so much time & money finding the optimum weight, velocity, & construction to AVOID overpenetration in each service caliber.

Many use HST. I found out why. They are awesome. Its all I carry!

I'll carry fmj pretty often, i do have a variety of 9mm though.

If i got fmj in my carry gun i'm not going to rush in the house to grab another mag or swap out the fmj, i'll carry them.

Hornady Critical Defense in 9mm. I think that JHP is the way to go. I've never shot someone, thankfully, but I have shot many deer. I used to hunt with soft lead tips, but now I use ballistic tips. Trust me, when you open the deer up, you can tell a difference. The Critical Defense load is basically a ballistic tip. I know that the velocities are no where near the same, and as far as expansion goes, that is the main variable in the kinetic energy equation: (1/2)*m*V^2. However, FMJs are meant for better penetration, not expansion and causing shock. Regardless of whether or not the bullet passes completely through, the biggest thing is that the vital organs are destroyed. If you dont think that a JHP is better than a FMJ for that, then I'm not sure what else to tell you.

Sure, the attacker might bleed out faster if an FMJ ensures that there are more holes , but who cares? I want to completely disable them as soon as possible, not ensure that they will die moments later from blood loss. Just my two cents :p

No, its the fact their glocks have 15lb triggers and they cant hit the broad side of a barn.

The vast majority of L.E. who come out to get help passing their P.O.S.T. qualif. have flinches under calm conditions w/ only a 5 1/2 lb. Glock trigger.

The N.Y.P.D. obviously don't even trust their own officers & punish them w/ such a heavy trigger.
They were/ are set up for failure w/ that trigger system.

I have one that I install to let people try it but it is awful.

All about training. They put them heavy triggers to help STOP accidental discharges. They should have just spent the money on more training. Try explaining that to bloomberg though
