Whats your favorite American muscle car?

'66 Chevelle, SS 396, Marina Blue with white interior. Never have been able to get that car out of my mind. It was beautiful then, it is beautiful now.

Hmmm, would this count if it had a v-8??

Possibly, if GM had made it that way. Wikipedia ftw:

"The term generally refers to 2-door rear wheel drive family-style 4+ passenger mid-size cars (and, by some, full-size cars) equipped with large, powerful, V8s, and sold at an affordable price for mainly street use and sometimes both formal and informal drag racing.
As such, they are distinct from two-seat sports cars and expensive 2+2 GTs intended for high-speed touring and road racing."

So big cars with big engines. Cobras, Vipers, and 'Vettes don't count, they're sports cars (ie, you can take turns in them and they cost more).

And I may be a diehard GM nut, my favorite oldie is what was my dad's first car. 1970 RoadRunner set up for drag racing from the factory. Looked identical to this one except had 440 badges :D

Very few cars in this world have scared me as much as this one. Almost 3 tons, a 427, M22 with 4:10 gears. With the right tune you could get into the 11's with air conditioning! May not fit the "muscle car" definition, but man, what a rush!

Well, if I can't use the AC Shelby Cobra 427 as my choice, then I'll choose these two. My Dad had both of these cars when I was a teenager and I actually got to drive the Charger when I was 15. Here they are: 1969 Dodge Super Bee 383ci. and a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum and they looked exactly like these.
