I might be the only Asian African American on the ODT.

Last name "Beasley". Originated from Beesley, a small town in lancashire,England. Don't know if I have roots back to there or not. I'm thinking somewhere down my family tree, there might have been some slave dealings or something b/c there is a lot of African-Americans with the same last name.

Cherokee on my mother's side (a few hundred years) and Irish on my fathers side. (back to the 10th-11th centuries)

Here's just a little info I've found on my father's side.

"This is both a royal and noble Irish surname. Recorded in many forms including O'Donegan, Donegan, Dunican, Dungan, Doonican, and the rare and unusual County Cork spellings of Dingivan and Dinnine, this clan is divided into four branches or septs. The origination is from the 10th century kings of a region called Fernmhagh, in what is now County Westmeath. As befits a "royal" family, their numbers, are quite small.

My mom's people came over in 1915. My dad's came in 1949.

Granddad was half Cherokee and the rest of the family is from England, although I have no idea when they made the trip off the island.
