I am currently running a 260/70/17 AT on OEM wheels and they fill up the fender wells nicely w/o scrubbing too bad (bit of a scrub when turning wheel sharply). It's time for new tires and I'm considering going to a 20" wheel or at the very lease a newer wheel since the OEMs are peeling and I want a different look w/o spending $100k on a new vehicle. Since it has 200k on the dial and won't run forever, I'm not wanting to spend a whole lot of money on it. I want to fill up the fender well as much as possible w/o lifting it, though I'd love about a 4" lift, but there again, not wanting to put a lot of money in it.
So, the question is: what size tire can I run on a 20" wheel to keep the same look as I currently have. And does anyone know of a shop near Newnan giving away wheel/tire/lift kit combos?
