Aint nothing wrong with having good ole all american fun with homeless people.

That was from a post in that thread that eventually got deleted. Apparently some CCers taunt and confront homeless people that ask them for change. I guess saying "sorry buddy" is something their ego won't allow them to do.

I didn't see the post but the jist of what you're saying here is true. Criminal law holds that you know you have the weapon and the other guy doesn't, so you are charged with the responsibility to de-escalate any argument or confrontation. If you don't follow this course of action, after the criminal trial is over the inevitable civil suit that follows will be a slam dunk for the BG's family.
