where yall at

I still have a couple of the old Realistic Navaho's from back in the 70"s. Plus a lot of other CB things that use to belong to my dad.....

I have a couple of CBs wired to plug into a cig lighter with magnetic antennas. And, I have a duffel bag full of handheld CBs. Why? We used to do camping trips down in South Georgia to do Gopher tortoise surveys for DNR...and go road cruising for snakes in the evenings On nice days, we would flip tin or fallen barns on farmland or scrub land. We would all be spread out and in several cars/trucks. No cell reception. 2 way radios don't have enough range. And it was important to keep in touch with each other in case someone stepped on a big fat diamondback.

Good grief, in the Late 90's I had a Uniden HR 2510 with a Palomar 200 on PDL II's. Traded the 2510 for an RCI Ranger 2950. Sold everything though when I moved to Georgia 15 years ago. I still have a couple straight 40 channel AMs on a shelf in the basement but that is it other than my 2 meter gear.
