Which Colt AR model?

Yeah it would. Especially since you can get the OEM1 for about $750.

I'd buy a dozen of them, sell the uppers for $700 and have $50 each in a dozen complete Colt lowers.

Quick question. Is it considered sacrilege to put a Colt upper on a Anderson lower? I know its a half-assed way to get what I want but it would be reasonably cheap since I have a spare lower.

sacrilege? no...maybe out of place or, of course, not as valuable..but it'll run since that's probably why you want it and not to put it on a mantle.

Anderson lowers aren't that bad. They just have a cheesy logo. I had a conversation with a employee at Dobb's Defense and he said Anderson is more of a machine shop than a typical AR builder. They have an insane amount of CNC mills and do nothing but crank out lowers for other companies and use that co. roll mark. The seconds they put their mark on and market for their self. That info per rep of Anderson. I used on for my 15 year old sons build. He didn't give a ****.
