Right now I am leaning towards the Smith and Wesson Bodyguard or the Kahr P380. I am also considering the Ruger LCP or the Taurus TCP. I definitely want something compact and easy to conceal but I dont really want to carry less 380 caliber. I also definitely want a semi auto and not a revolver. I usually shoot my dad's larger framed and caliber guns. I don't have access to any compact guns to get a feel for them myself. Any thoughts on reliability, comfort, and recoil? I know they are at different price points but I am trying to not let that determine my decision. Thanks!

before anyone corrects me... I meant the least felt recoil :)

The Sig 238 is all metal. I would think that would help with recoil.

Or better yet, look for a non-Smith & Wesson Walther PPK

I'd say the Sig 238 HD has the least recoil of any small frame or pocket pistol I've tried. You could get a Beretta 84 or Sig 232, but they are a lot larger and heavier. Any pocket pistol with a polymer frame is going to be worse for recoil IMO.

For the micro-compacts pocket 380's I would have to say that the MPA Protector 2 and the Micro Eagle were the least violent recoiling 380's I've shot. Both have ported barrels and are metal framed.

yep, just got my wife a 238 and she commented how much less the recoil was compared to her old Keltec.

now all you have to do is find one.

I didn't mind the Colt Mustang Pocketlite in .380. I thought it shot pretty decent and recoil wasn't bad. Similar to the Sig P238.
Good luck on your search.
