Which FFL to use to ship to out of state FFL

Long guns are not a problem through UPS as long as the receiving FFL is agreeable. I've done this several times for warranty work back to the mfg. Only thing is you need to ship from a 'hub' location.

Handguns are usually cheaper FFL-to-FFL as long as there aren't any added fees.

Correct. However, some dealers will not accept transfers from individuals so it is important to get this information prior to shipping. It can also become a royal PITA to ship guns through a contract carrier as per law you MUST notify them there is a gun in the box and most will not accept the liability of dealing with an individual. Also, FFL dealers have the ability to ship handguns to another FFL dealer via priority mail using USPS which is MUCH cheaper than using UPS or FedEx 2 day air.

I wish I would have know this when I shipped two glocks a few months ago. If you don't have a FFL fedex requires priority overnight to ship handguns. I'll definitely hit you up next time. What do you charge to receive transfers?
