Who doesn't have a generator?

No generator here.

Had one many many years ago that sat completely unused. Been in the new house a decade now and have never needed one.

Im sure they are great to have if I ever needed one, but the need has never arisen in the last few decades.

I have one I camp with .Generac 2200. I wired one circuit in the house to a switch. Freezer, router, a tv, lights in a bathroom. Never had to use it. Got a natural gas heater on the wall for heat if needed so Im good

UPS just dropped this one off a little while ago.
Already got a 3500w generator.
Wanted an inverter just to run the fayncy fridge and electronics. Only weighs 37 pounds.
$329 delivered to the garage. 3 days to ship.

Don't forget to exercise the gen set once a month for 20 to 30 minutes. One of my job responsibilities was maintaining the office and station gen sets. One was 19000 watts and the other was 210KW. I have 2 for home use.

And put a load on it so you’re not just running the engine. Make it work the generator as well.
I start mine and run an electric heater for 30-45 min’s.
Mine is LP or gasoline.

It's not, but the smugness level achieved by having power when the unwashed masses don't is worth it.
Absolutely.
Ice storm years ago, neighborhood lost power for a couple of days.
Neighbor later told story of standing in his house, wearing every item of clothing he had, wrapped in a blanket and still freezing. Said he looked over at our house, said the wife and I were sitting in our sunroom in shorts and t-shirts, lights blazing, drinking steaming hot coffee. He joked, of course, but that generator paid for itself that weekend.
