Went with three other buddies this evening. We put 38 in the cooler in a little over 3 hours. The raw meat never hit ice, went straight from bird to grill on kabobs with bacon and man was it tasty.
Our field was not as good as last year. I did manage 6. Still had a good time.
Not even close. Positioned myself badly on Saturday and no birds flew this afternoon to speak of.

Me and my buddy got our limit and we are going back this Saturday. It was also a PUBLIC WMA hunt with ZERO problems.
I did. Fortunately all of mine still have the skin on them for frying.
I used to love hunting them as a kid. I haven't had one in 25+ years though. I really miss them now.
The bad thing is, hunting with family in south GA back then, I didn't know there was a limit on them. Nobody told me till I was about 21, which was 10 years after the fact. We hunted with cops and preachers, so I never thought to ask if we were legal.

I put them in peppers and wrapped in bacon they were great. I shot 15 more yesterday same place in dacula/ Gwinnett county, fillet minion of the sky
