I’ve just recently bought a full breed gsp puppy. I want to get a frozen quail or pheasant to start teasing her with every now and then. I am willing to buy it if I need to.

There is someone relatively close that sells live birds for planting I think. Pigeons will work also. Trap them if possible.
Wings work. If hes really young, tie up a live pigeon or quails wings and let him have at it. Bird crazy dog is what you want to start with. Before and after with Colt.
