Who has done this and over what gun?

As I read your post... before getting to the end I had you pegged for the gentleman that I spoke with over his 10mm setup at Hi Calibre on Sunday.

He had exactly as you described... he was happy to stay in one caliber platform because he reloads. Pretty neat setup really.

I find that if I keep the idea of "What is the intended purpose of this gun" I can avoid it.

I forgot that on my 300blk build. I drooled over all the ballistics and subsonic semiauto capabilities, but then after I built it I remembered I wasn't goin to use the terminal ballistics because I wasn't going to hunt with it and the subsonics were so expensive it was just better to shoot pistol calibers. So I ended up with a 9mm AR which I love and shoot all the time.

Now there you go bringing "reason" and "logic" into the equation. What's up with that, anyway?

I'd have twice as much room in my safe if I employed those two evil words into my hobby.

Of course I'd have more money in my wallet if I would employ those two concepts a little more often, too...

Just bought a 40 cal & 45cal by my son from Mech Tech, GREAT-GREAT-GREAT . Glock was my carry gun for years when I was working(been retired for 13yrs) but still love the ugly- black- perfect working- weapon. Was given a 27 by my department when I retired is still my go to carry gun to this day. Went through the Glock Armorer's school in Smyrna for my transition course from revolver to auto. Saw torture tests where fully loaded Glock's were dropped out of helicopter, buried in mud etc. Yea I'm a Glock Fan!!

Now for the ? I have magazines, gun books, notes all over my desk with info for my next big purchase, most of which never go anywhere! But the chase keeps an old man busy and out of the way, not to mention happy. The Mech Tech deal was held up by them for 2 months because of back log of orders, but I'm VERY pleased for this dream to become a reality.
