I had mine done at Woodhams in 2000. I was nearly legally blind and now and still 20/15! Pricing is usually not flat, it depends on your eyes. Just remember, the machines are on a "per use lease" to the doctors, they pay the manufacturer in much the same way you pay per copy at kinkos. When a new technology come out, the high end docs change gear and turn in their unit for the latest and greatest. The older machine are then refurbed and put back into service at a lower lease rate to the cheaper spots. That is one of the driving factors in cost variations between the ones who even put out coupons in the Sunday paper and the high end joints. Woodhams is NOT cheap... Way back when, mine was 2400 per eye because of how bad mine were but I would pay it again in a heartbeat!
Two hours of feeling like you have grit in your eyes, then perfect vision! I will say that my wife had hers done in the same place and had problems with dry eyes. Hers also degraded back to 20/30 after about ten years.
